Re: Resolution approving time restricted no parking on the east side of la Manda Dr. between
15221 and 15259 La Manda Dr. and extending the No Parking zone on the west side of La
Manda Dr. from 150 feet south of Hilltop Circle North to Hilltop Circle South.
Not everyone on Hilltop Circle was initially informed of this issue despite the fact that it affects
everyone who lives here. The proposed change enforces the No Parking on school days from
7am to 4pm. However, there are school activities held on evenings and weekends and people
attending those events would now be able to park in our neighborhood outside of the 7am -
4pm school days restriction. Hilltop Circle, which is a private road, would receive more traffic
with no reasonable way to control the increased usage.
The original concerns that created the No Parking at the northern end of La Manda years ago
still exist. Nothing has changed. Therefore, if the City Council approves the above resolution,
which impacts all of us living on Hilltop Circle, then I would like to suggest the City take over
the ownership and maintenance of Hilltop Circle. If, by your actions, you are allowing
increased traffic on our road, then it should become a city street that you maintain.
Thank you.
Respectfully,
Heidi Marc-Aurele
