Dear Mayor, Council Members and City Engineer,
My name is Sophie A. Bartlett. I have lived for over 50 years at 15209 Hilltop Circle,
Poway CA 92064. 1 am opposed to the No Parking being modified on La Manda.
It took the residents many years to convince the City of Poway to incorporate the
No Parking Signs. A few reasons the signs were installed: non-residents parking
and spending the night and leaving trash, drug trafficking and the public parking for
school events at Rancho Bernardo High School.
Now that the new homes have been built, parking by the public would create an even
greater problem for both pedestrian and traffic safety! I would like to recommend the
City of Poway issue parking by permit only for the residents of the new homes to use for
their needs. What will they do when they have company or workers who can't find
a place to park because the public is parking in front of their home? I find it interesting
that four homes are asking to change something that has worked so well for all the
residents who live up here!
Your attention to this matter will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
