RESOLUTION NO 05-041
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING PROGRAM SUPPLEMENTS NO. M009 AND M010 AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENTS
WHEREAS, during the Cedar Fire in 2003, the sections of Poway Road between
Espola Road and SR-67 and Espola Road between poway Road and Twin Peaks Road
sustained fire damage; and
WHEREAS, the Federal govemment has declared that these areas qualify for
Federal disaster relief assistance; and
WHEREAS, on December 19, 2003, the City submitted an application for Federal
assistance to replace roadway guardrails, streetlights, traffic signs and signal; to restore
roadway slopes; and to compensate the City for staff time and equipment; and
WHEREAS, on April 4, 2005, the Federal Highway Administration agreed to
reimburse the City for those costs incurred during repair of damage to the roadways that
occurred during the Cedar fire; and
WHEREAS, to proceed wit~ the Federal reimbursement process, the City and State
are required to execute Program Supplement agreements No. MOOg and M010.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway
as follows:
The City Council hereby authorizes theCily Manager to execute Program Supplements No.
MOOg and M010 to administer Federal Aid Project No. 11-5428 related to the 2003 Cedar
fire damage on Poway Road between Espola Road and SR-67 and on Espola Road
between Poway Road and Twin Peaks Road in the City of Poway
PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway
at a regular meeting this 24th day of May, 2005.
