There was no one present wishing to speak. ITEM 3 INTERVIEW APPLICANTS FOR CITY COUNCIL VACANCY Mayor Goldsmith stated that each applicant would be given three minutes to address the Council and describe their qualifications for the position. The Council will then ask questions of each applicant. He noted that Dave Churchill turned in his application after the deadline set by the City Council, however, the Council concurred to add him to the list of applicants. Applicants interviewed for the position included: Bill Dulmage, 14115 Donart Drive Peggy Gentry, 13280 Olive Meadows Drive Vicki Lazowski, 14440 Golden Sunset Lane Michael McFarland, 14455 Ipava Drive Kathy McIntyre, 14148 Rio Court Gordon Meyer, 14302 Sandhill Road Donald Nunn, 14682 Twin Peaks Place Alan Sugarman, 13385 Fallen Leaf Road Charlene Zettel, 15903 Ranch Hollow Road Dave Churchill, 13511Tobiasson Road 3998 Page 2 - CITY OF POWAY ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING - December 10, 1990 Mayor Goldsmith thanked each applicant for their interest and stated the matter of an appointment is the first item on the agenda for the regular December 11, 1990 meeting. CLO~ED $E$$II~1 City Attorney Eckis requested a closed session to discuss pending litigation pursuant to Government Code 54956.9(a) in the cases of City of Poway v. City of San Diego; and Buckley v. City of Poway. Mayor Goldsmith called for the closed session at 5:45 p.m. CALL TO ORDER AND AD,~OURI~ENT Mayor Goldsmith called the meeting back to order at 6:10 p.m., and stated that during the closed session the Council had discussed the Pomerado Road case and the City Attorney had announced the settlement of the Buckley v. City of Poway case. Upon motion by Councilmember Emery, seconded by Councilmember Higginson, Mayor Goldsmith ordered the meeting adjourned.
