More and more restaurants throughout San Diego County are adding cheap one piece tables without any consideration for the aged and the disabled. Tall bar stools and tables are just as inaccessible for many. Restaurants are becoming more welcoming to pets and dogs than those people who need special furniture accommodation Please consider standard height flat seated, armless chairs, or picnic tables with detached benches Thanks for your consideration 1 2 of 3 July 7, 2020 From:Anita Edmondson-GVCA To:Councilmembers Cc:Mike Leland; Aimee Wilcox; Jessica Bello Subject:Chamber support for picnic tables Date:Tuesday, July 7, 2020 2:04:11 PM Hello, Mayor and Councilmembers I am writing on behalf of the Poway Chamber of Commerce to express our support of thepurchase of picnic tables for restaurants to expand their outdoor dining service. We also like the added bonus of re-homing the tables at City parks for continued enjoyment by residents. We have emailed our database of Poway restaurants to share this proposal with them andencourage them to express their support. We have also put it out on our social media. As always, the Chamber is available to help with this initiative in any way you need, i.e. determining scope of need, table specs, communicating to businesses, etc. We appreciate your continued support of the business community! -- Anita Edmondson Immediate Past Chair, Poway Chamber of CommerceVP, Green Valley Civic Association (GVCA)anita.gvca@gmail.com | 858.354.2135www.GVCA.info 3 of 3 July 7, 2020
