REGULAR MEETING
NOVEMBER 1, 2005
The November 1,2005, Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Poway, was called
to order at 7:00 p.m. by Deputy Mayor Emery at the Poway City Council Chambers, 13325
Civic Center Drive, Poway, California, for a Regular City Council Meeting.

PUBLIC ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
Deputy Mayor Emery explained the procedures for Public Oral Communications.
Connie Messina, Poway, on behalf of South Poway Residential Association asked for the City
Council's assistance in getting an item on the Parks and Recreation Committee's agenda.
City Manager responded staff has been in contact with Ms. Messina and the Oak Knoll Park
issue will be on a future committee meeting agenda for discussion.

Jeff Figler, Poway, announced that the City of Poway now officially has a sister city,
Marijampole, Lithuania. He headed up a delegation to Lithuania last week to meet with their
Mayor and yisit their city.
CONSENT CALENDAR:
Motion by Councilmember Rexford and seconded by Councilmember Boyack to approve the
Consent Calendar, consisting of Items 1 through 3, as submitted.
1. Ratification of Warrant Reqister for the period of October 3 through October 7,2005.

2. Award of Bid to Spooner's Woodworks in the amount of $45,360 for the Poway Center
for the Performing Arts Millwork Project, with an appropriation of $17,470 from the
General Fund Unappropriated Fund Balance (100-8912) to account 0204-4304
(Building Repair and Maintenance). and charge $5,000 of the construction costs to the
PCPA Foundation, to be reimbursed to the City upon completion of the project.

3. Adoption of Resolution No. P-05-71, entitled: "A Resolution of the City Council of the
City of Poway, California Approving Temporarv Use Permit 05-83 to hold the Annual
Poway Fall Fest Street Fair" on Sunday, November 13, 2005 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00
p.m., along Midland Road between Poway Road and Hilleary Place. Poway Chamber
of Commerce, Applicant. (0210-60)
Motion to approve the Consent Calendar carried 4-0, with Mayor Cafagna absent.
