RESOLUTION NO. 06-046
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
ESTABLISHING A NO PARKING ZONE NEXT TO AUBREY PARK DRIVEWAY
WHEREAS, Section 21100 of the California Vehicle Code permits local authorities to
adopt by Resolution traffic control measures meeting the requirements set forth under Section
21351 of the California Vehicle Code; and
WHEREAS, Section 21351 ofthe California Vehicle Code permits the establishment of
No Parking Zones in the City of Poway; and
WHEREAS, Sections 10.28.080 of the City's Municipal Code authorizes the City to
prohibit stopping, standing or parking in order to eliminate a hazardous condition; and
WHEREAS, the California Design Manual recommends that a clear corner sight
distance of 295 feet for a roadway with a speed limit of 25 mph should be provided; and
WHEREAS, It was observed that cars parked next to the Aubrey Park driveway
constitute a potential hazard to motorists exiting the Park; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway has determined that 57-foot and 100-
foot sections east and west of Aubrey Park driveway, should be established as "No Stopping,
Standing or Parking at Any Time" zones.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway as
follows:
Section 1: In accordance with said Section 21351 of the California Vehicle Code, 57-foot
and 1 OO-foot sections on Aubrey Street east and west of Aubrey Park driveway respectively,
should be established as "No Stopping, Standing or Parking at Any Time" zones.

PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway at a
regular meeting thereof this 6th day of June 2006.
