•Data on rental fees was collected from the cities of Carlsbad, El Cajon, Encinitas, Escondido, La Mesa, and San Marcos.
•As possible, the former Community Park Auditorium and Senior Center rooms were also used for comparison.
•Rooms were evaluated based on square footage, maximum occupancy, and similar amenities.
Market Research
•Recommendation to consolidate and simplify the fee
structure for the MCCC.
•Base rate individual, base rate non-profit, 50%
discount for Poway individuals/businesses and Poway
non-profits.
•Moves away from more complex fee structure with
varying degrees of cost recovery.
•MCCC is a facility anticipated to be used broadly
