The average ticket price for the majority of users is $18-25, so a general request from the group was that City handling fees continue at $5/ticket. As one business owner noted, "A family of 4 would pay $70 for tickets and $20 for handling-this is a lot". With all the busy events and openings occurring this spring in Poway, City Staff has done an outstanding job in putting out an RFP, reviewing multiple proposals received, and selecting a well-qualified and cost-effective choice for a new ticketing service. TicketSearch is an excellent choice with impressive, new features to improve and promote Community User marketing efforts, such as Events, Gift Vouchers, Donations, Memberships, and Subscriptions/Packages. And modernizing the ticket purchasing interface to allow access from all devices, and especially mobile device accessibility, is a key functionality for today's patrons of the arts. We also note the special cost savings created by Staff in selecting a system able to utilize the City's current existing equipment along with the waiving of additional start-up costs. As we all know, every dollar saved is important to successful PCPA operations. We commend the care and effort City Staff has put into this endeavor, and look forward to a smooth transition to a new ticketing system that will benefit both Poway City and the PCPA Community Users. With appreciation, Jana Johnson Janet Lettang Kate Hirsh
