This started with a committee of the Poway Valley Garden Club. As you know, our club has deep support of the Poway community. PVGC tends the rose garden at Lake Poway, the gardens at Templar's Hall, the fruit orchard and the gardens at the Nelson House. We thought Poway should have a city sign going across Poway Road. Thus we created a committee. Then we realistically realized that this project was so much larger than our dedicated garden club could handle. We decided that we needed much wider community participation and support. We reached out to city council members and the mayor as well as key community members. The result is your presentation tonight. The timing is spot on with all the wonderful Poway Road redevelopment. I am so over the top in favor of this project because: It is Poway proud. It demonstrates Poway pride. And the timing is Poway perfect! Be well, Gayle Olson-Binder 17010 Surrey Hills Court Poway CA 92064 1
