In January 2018 the CNRA recommended that 13 projects of the 46 applications be funded by the California Transportation Commission (CTC). The City’s application for $500,000 was one of the 13 applications that was recommended for approval by the CNRA. The item is set for consideration by the CTC on March 21 and 22, 2018. RFP for Encampment Clean-Up Development Services released a Request for Proposals for as-needed encampment clean- up services in January 2018. The deadline for submittals was February 27, 2018. This project involves obtaining a Right of Way Permit from the City of San Diego as portions of the project are located within City of San Diego city limits. Staff has obtained approval of the permit. The permit can be issued to the City’s Contractor once a surety bond for the work, insurance documents, and a supplemental permit application have been submitted. The application documents must list the City’s Contractor. The City is including these additional requirements in the construction contract for the project. Buehler Reservoir Rehabilitation Project The 100% design plans have been received from the Consultant for review. Instead, staff provided the Engineer of Work the mylar plans for immediate preparation of record drawings.
