I have looked at the proposed All-Stop at Martincoit and Stone Canyon. I believe
you will end up with
some rear enders when drivers near the proposed stop sign. Mostly at the near top
of Martin co it when
drivers are headed out of the area.

Dear Poway City Council,
I would like to express my support for Item 13: Resolution Approving an All-Way Stop Control at the
Intersection of Martincoit Road and Stone Canyon Road and believe it is in the best interest of our
community for the Poway City Council to adopt the resolution.
In 2013 Martincoit Road residents expressed speeding & safety concerns; city staff recommended
installation of an all-way stop at this intersection; the traffic safety committee unanimously
approved the recommendation; City Council failed to approve the all-way stop
sign.
In Sept 2017, I emailed Poway Mayor Mr. Steve Vaus. His reply 11 1 am still troubled by this
intersection 11
•
I also emailed Mr. Steve Stone (President of Green Valley Civic Association) ... his reply "When this
stop sign matter was considered in the past, the GVCA attended the safety meetings and voiced our
concern with safety at this intersection 11.
I encourage our City Council to make the thoughtful and wise decision to install an all-way stop sign
on Martincoit Rd and Stone Canyon Rd intersection for the safety, health and well being of
pedestrians and drivers in our community. Thanks for your time and consideration of this important
matter.
