A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
POWAY, CALIFORNIA, TO INCREASE THE BUDGETED FULL
TIME EQUIVALENT (FTE) LEVEL OF THE REGULAR, PART-
TIME PARK RANGER POSITION IN THE COMMUNITY
SERVICES DEPARTMENT FROM 0.48 FTE TO 0.50 FTE
WHEREAS, a recent vacancy in the regular part-time Park Ranger position in the
Community Services Department has allowed for the City to evaluate the budgeted level of the
position;
WHEREAS, this regular, part-time Park Ranger position in Interpretive Services provides
onsite maintenance and coordinates important community events, programs, volunteers, and
school tours;
WHEREAS, increasing the budgeted FTE from .48 to .50 will provide additional hours of
support to the Blue Sky Ecological Reserve and Kumeyaay Ipai Interpretive Center and create
more consistency with how other regular part-time, positions are budgeted across the
organization; and
WHEREAS, the City Council must approve increases to budgeted FTE positions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway that the
FTE for the one budgeted regular, part-time Park Ranger classification in the Community Services
Department, Interpretive Services division is increased from 0.48 to 0.50 FTE.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the
City of Poway, California on the 18th day of January, 2022 by the following vote, to wit:
