A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
POWAY, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE SALARY SCHEDULE
FOR THE POWAY FIREFIGHTERS' ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, on September 7, 2021, the City Council approved a Memorandum of
Understanding between the City of Poway and the Poway Firefighters' Association, effective July
1, 2021, through June 30, 2027;
WHEREAS, as part of the Memorandum of Understanding, the Poway Firefighters'
Association members receive a 3.5% wage increase, effective July 1, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the California Public Employee Retirement System (CaIPERS) requires all
salary schedules be publicly adopted by the governing body.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway as
SECTION 1: The above recitals are true and correct.
SECTION 2: The Salary Schedule for the Poway Firefighters' Association, attached
hereto as Exhibit A, is hereby adopted, effective July 1, 2022.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the
City of Poway, California on the 19th day of July, 2022 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: LEONARD, FRANK, GROSCH, MULLIN, VAUS
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: NONE
DISQUALIFIED: NONE
