Item 5 - Resolution authorizing participation and acceptance of funds through the 2022 State Homeland Security Grant ProgramRESOLUTION NO. 23- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION AND THE ACCEPTANCE OF FUNDS THROUGH THE 2022 STATE HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City of Poway is eligible to receive federal grant funds through the 2022 State Homeland Security Grant Program for emergency preparedness; WHEREAS, the approved grant allocation for the City of Poway is $26,941; WHEREAS, the federal grant funds for the State Homeland Security Grant Program require no City matching funds, all grant-related expenditures are one-hundred percent reimbursable, and the City shall incur no direct costs; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Poway to participate in this program to enhance emergency preparedness. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway as follows: SECTION 1: The following staff are hereby authorized to execute for and on behalf of the City of Poway, a public entity established under the laws of the State of California, any actions necessary for the purpose of obtaining federal financial assistance provided by the federal Department of Homeland Security and sub-granted through the State of California. 3 of 4 Jeff Chumbley, Fire Chief Jenna Stein, Sr. Management Analyst (This section intentionally left blank.)
