Item 8 - Additional Materials submitted by Public at MeetingJune 13. 2023 Dear Mayor and City Council Members, L,.. ~ re"'" ~A l~M. ~ ~ ~ t ~ r w~:!, ~F4 RE: Agenda Item #8, Approval of Final Map for TTM21-004 (Sage at Old Coach) New Pointe Investments The Sage/Old Coach parcel is adjacent to the Sycamore Creek Watershed Corridor and the Sycamore/Blue Sky/Mount Woodson Wildlife Corridor. The Sycamore Creek wildlife corridor is significant, as it allows wildlife to move and extends from Blue Sky/Mt. Woodson Preserves to Camp Pendleton. I have questions pertaining to preserving this wildlife corridor, specifically in regard to Lot 6 1. How close will the Lot 6 home and yard be to the corridor? 2. Will the new owner be allowed to pay in-lieu fees, as was the Chimnaya Mission to clear endangered habitat next to the Meadowbrook Ecological Preserve on Van Dam Peak? The Mission was allowed to clear several acres next to the preserve for a price. 3. Will Lot 6 have significant grading? If so, how high and how close to the corridor? 4. Will the builder follow Poway's Habitat Plan and not clear or cut down trees during nesting season? Residents have witnessed this by various builders in the last year. 5. Will the corridor area be narrower because of the new home and yard? 6. Why wasn't lot averaging done, as stated in Nature Resource Element, so that Lot 6 could be with the other homes on the west side of Old Coach and this parcel could remain a large corridor area? 7. ~ere is the 120 acres that was mentioned in the report as preserved open space? Residents are worried about investors, builders, and biologists not following Poway's Subarea Habitat Conservation Plan and the Nature Resource Element. New Pointe Investments and Cornerstone are concerning to residents because of laws and rules broken at both Larchmont and Holly Oak developments. Thank you for answering my questions. Respectfully, Lori Grennan
