RESOLUTION NO. 07-071
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY. CALIFORNIA,
ESTABLISHING A NO STOPPING. STANDING OR PARKING ZONE ON THE WEST
SIDE OF OAK KNOLL DRIVE BETWEEN POWAY ROAD AND CREST ROAD
WHEREAS, Section 21100 of the California Vehicle Code permits local authorities to
adopt rules and regulations by Ordinance or Resolution to regulate traffic by means of official
traffic control devices; and
WHEREAS, Section 21351 of the California Vehicle Code permits local authorities to
place and maintain such traffic signs upon streets and highways as may be necessary to
properly indicate and carry out the provisions of the local ordinances and to warn or guide
traffic; and
WHEREAS. Sections 10.28.080 of the City's Municipal Code authorizes the City
Council to prohibit stopping, standing or parking in order to eliminate a hazardous condition;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway has determined that the west side of
Oak Knoll Drive between the intersection of Poway Road and Oak Knoll Drive, and a point 78
feet to the north, should be established as a "No Stopping, Standing or Parking at Any Timen
zone to improve the traffic flow approach at the intersection of Poway Road and Oak Knoll
Drive.
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway as
follows:
Section 1: In accordance with said Section 21351 of the California Vehicle Code, the west
side of Oak Knoll Drive between Poway Road and Crest Road for a distance of 78 feet shall
be established as a "No Stopping. Standing or Parking at Any Timen zone.

PASSED. ADOPTED. AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway at a
regular meeting thereof this 14th day of August, 2007.
