A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING TEMPORARY USE PERMIT 07-56
TO HOLD THE RENDEZVOUS IN POWAY 2007
WHEREAS, Temporary Use Permit 07-56, City of Poway Community Services
Department, Applicant, requests approval to hold the Rendezvous in Poway 2007 at
Old Poway Park, located at 14134 Midland Road, on Friday, Septernber 21,2007, from
9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., on Saturday, September 22,2007, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.,
and on Sunday, September 23,2007, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, on September 18, 2007, the City Council considered the above-
referenced item.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
as follows:
Section 1: The City Council finds that Temporary Use Permit 07-56 is Categorically
Exempt (Class 4) frorn the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), pursuant to
Section 15304(e) of the CEQA Guidelines, as the event is temporary in nature and will
have no effects on the environment.
Section 2: The proposed use is in accordance with the purposes and standards of Section
17.26.030.A of the Poway Municipal Code.
Section 3: The City Council hereby approves Temporary Use Permit 07-56, the
Rendezvous in Poway 2007 at Old Poway Park, located at 14134 Midland Road, on
Friday, September 21, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 pm., on Saturday, September 22,
2007, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and on Sunday, September 23,2007, from 10:00 a.m.
to 2:00 p.m. subject to the following conditions:
A. The event and related off-site parking shall be conducted as shown on the site plan
and application on file in the Development Services Department.
B. Approval of this activity shall not excuse compliance with all other sections of the
Zoning Ordinance and all other applicable State, County, and City Ordinances
presently in effect.
C. The site shall be developed in accordance with the approved site plan on file in the
Development Services Departrnent, Planning Division, except as otherwise
provided herein.
D. Prior to the event, the applicant shall comply with the following:
1. The following City of Poway Departments shall be contacted for appropriate
permits, coordination, and inspections: Public Works, Community Services,

Customer Services, Development Services (including the Building, Traffic
Engineering, and Planning Divisions), Safety Services, and the Sheriffs
Department.
2. Obtain a permit from the San Diego County Health Department if food will be
sold.
3. Obtain a permit from the Fire Department for any canopy that exceeds 400
square feet.
4. All proposed signs shall be approved by the Development Services
Department, Planning Division, and shall be in accordance with Section
17.40 of the Poway Municipal Code.
E. During the event, the applicant shall comply with the following:
1. Do not block emergency vehicle access to any street, building, fire hydrant,
or fire sprinkler connection.
2. Provide at least one (1) fire extinguisher with a minimum rating of 2A10BC at
any booth where food is prepared.
3. All compressed gas cylinders rnust be secured from falling over.
F. At the conclusion of the event, the applicant shall comply with the following:
1. Public streets, off-street parking sites, and areas within and adjoining the
proposed area for the event shall be cleared of debris, litter, temporary signs
and all other evidence of the event.
Section 4: This approval shall become null and void on Sunday, September 23, 2007, at
5:00 p.m., at which time the site utilized shall have been restored to its original condition.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
State of California, at a regular meeting this 18th day of Septernber 2007.
