AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
CONSOLIDATING THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
OF THE CITY OF POWAY WITH THE
STATEWIDE GENERAL ELECTION
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Date for General Municipal Election. Pursuant to Section
36503.5 of the California Government Code, the General Election for the City of
Poway shall be held on the same day as the day of the Statewide General
Election.
Section 2. This ordinance shall become operative upon approval of the
Board of Supervisors of San Diego County.
Section 3. Pursuant to Section 36937 of the California Government Code,
this ordinance, which relates to an election, shall take effect immediately.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to
be published once in the Poway News Chieftain within fifteen (15) days after its
adoption.
Introduced and first read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Poway held the 1st day of February, 1983, and thereafter PASSED AND
ADOPTED at a regular meeting of said City Council held the 8th day of February
1983, by the following roll call vote:
