A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING COMPREHENSIVE SIGN PROGRAM 07-01
ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBERS APNs 275-461-04,275-470-01,06,10 and 26
WHEREAS, Comprehensive Sign Program (CSP) 07-01, submitted by Palomar
Pomerado Health District, Applicant, requests the approval of a Comprehensive Sign
Program for Pomerado Hospital located at 15615 Pomerado Road, in the Hospital
Campus (HC) zone; and
WHEREAS, on November 27, 2007, the City Council considered the above
referenced item and held duly advertised public hearings on the CSP 07-01; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Poway, as follows:
Section 1: This proposed project is Categorically Exempt (Class 11) from the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), pursuant to Section 15311 of the CEQA
Guidelines, in that it is for the placement of minor structures accessory to (appurtenant
to) existing facilities.
Section 2: The proposed Comprehensive Sign Program is in accordance with the
purposes and standards contained in the Poway Municipal Code, as amended under
Zoning Ordinance Amendment 07-06.
Section 3: The City Council hereby approves Comprehensive Sign Program 07-01,
pursuant to the plans on file in the Development Services Department dated October 3,
2007, subject to the following conditions:
A. Within 30 days of approval, the applicant shall submit in writing that all
Conditions of Approval have been read and understood.
B. All signs shall conform to the sign criteria and design guidelines contained within
the approved Comprehensive Sign Program, and the general provisions of the
Comprehensive Sign Ordinance of the Poway Municipal Code.
C. Individual signs require the issuance of a separate sign permit and may require a
Building Permit.
D. Approval of this request shall not waive compliance with Chapter 17.21 and
Chapter 17.40 of the Zoning Code and all other applicable City Ordinances in
effect at the time of Sign Permit issuance.
