RESOLUTION NO 08-076
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING CLASSIFICATION SPECIFICATIONS
WHEREAS, personnel classification systems are fluid and dynamic and should
be updated periodically; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway last conducted a comprehensive personnel
Classification Study in 2001, and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway has conducted a current study; and
WHEREAS, the current study resulted in new classifications, new classification
titles, and the elimination or merger of select classifications
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway
as follows
Section 1. The above recitals are true and correct.
Section 2. The Summary of 2008 Classification Study Changes (Exhibit A) and
Summary of Classification Titles (Exhibit B) as illustrated on the attached, are approved
Section 3. The proposed classification specifications, also known as job
descriptions, are approved and are on file in Administrative Services.
Section 4. The classification titles and specifications will be effective immediately
upon approval by the City Council.
