AMENDING SPEcIJ:'IdPLAN 88~li2
WHEREAS, the City Council Of the City of Po way recognizes that the need may
arise to amend the CitY.' s General Pl an; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350 et seq., of the California Government Code describes
the procedures for amendfng General Plans; and
WHEREAS, on March 29, 11388 the City Council adollteda reso I ut ion approv.i ng
Specific Plan 88-02, and said plan has been prepared anil adopted as a specific
pl an and provides for the systemati c impl ementatfon of the CitY of poway General
Plan; and.
WHEREAS, Chapter 17 .~U of 'the Zoni ng Development .Code contai ns procedures for
il:ri1endfngSpecific Plans; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has' in,itiated Specific Plan Amendment 88-02A
involving a revision to the list'of permitleduses wiUin the plan area; and
WHEREAS, on Decemo!'lr 12, 19.89 the City CounciJ' held a duly advertised
public hearing in accordancg l"ithCa-l.ifornia Government Code and the California
Env.i ronmental Quality Act (CEQA) to consider-the proposed amendments; and
WHEREAS, 'the City'CounciJ has cons idered th!! pote,ntjal envi ronmentai impacts
Of the pro'posed amendment and de,~er:mjned that they 'will not cause any signifi-
cant' adverse envi ronmental impacts and hereby issues a Negat i ve Declaration.
NOW, TflEREFORE, BElT RESOLVED, 'that the City Council does hereby amend the
