The June 18, 2002, regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Poway, was
called to order at 7:00 p.m., by Mayor Cafagna at the City Council Chambers, 13325
Civic Center Drive, Poway, California.

PRESENTATIONS
Mayor Cafagna presented Poway Patches to the first two successful Poway Patch
Program applicants, Tasha and Maddy Ward.
PUBLIC ORAL COMMUNICATION
Mayor Cafagna explained the procedure for Public Oral Communications.
There was no one present wishing to speak.

Motion by Councilmember Higginson, seconded by Councilmember Rexford, to
approve the Consent Calendar as follows:
Ratification of Warrant Register for the Period of May 20 through May 24, 2002.

Adoption of Resolution No. 02-061 - Authorizing the Submittal of a Funding
Request Form to the California Department of Conservation's Division of
Recycling for the City/County Payment Program (2001/2002 and 2002/2003
Beverage Container Recycling Grant). (401-30)
Authorization to Execute Extension No. 1, July 1, 2002 through June 30, 2004, to
Street Sweeping Agreement with Cannon Pacific Services. (602-01 #1430)

Authorization to Approve Amendment No. 1 to the Program Manager's
(Berryman & Henigar) Contract which provides for the Program Manager's
contracting directly with Design Sub-Consultants. (602-01 #1522)
Motion carried 3-0 with Deputy Mayor Emery and Councilmember Goidby absent.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Cafagna adjourned the meeting at 7:03 p.m. upon motion by Councilmember
Higginson, seconded by Councilmember Rexford. Motion carried unanimously.
