DEVELOPMENT CODE RHXKARDING THE HIGH VBr.L~y AREA
V~IEAS, it was the intent of the Poway City Council to have requirements
for development in the High Valley area to be the same as those designated in
prior C<~L,,,unity Plans; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway has approved a General Plan
Amendment (GPA 84-01D) revising pages 25 and 39 of the Poway C~-~orehensive Plan
to reflect the High Valley boun~ries approved in previous C~,~,Lunity Plans for
Poway; and
V~REAS, the Zoning Development Code should also be revised to mintain con-
sistency with the General Plan Land Use Element; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the City Council of the City of Poway,
California, hereby adopts the following revision to Section 2.2.B.13 of the
Zoning Development Code:

13. Within the High Valley area (see map adjacent to Policy 7.h. of
the land Use Element) the following criteria shall apply:

All requirements of the Rural Residential B category shall
apply except the slope density determination;
Two net acres shall be the minimum lot size;
All lots proposed for division less than eight net acres in
size shall include a minim~n of one contiguous net acre
building site with an average slope less than 25 percent; and
d. The building site shall be logically located in regard to
access consistent with City ordinances and policies and the
preservation of significant natural [esources such as water-
ridgelinesC°urses, .significant tree-stands, / rock-outcroppings, or
