AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
AMENDING THE SAN DIEGO COUNTY CODE OF ZONING ORDINANCE
ADOPTED BY REFERENCE TO REQUIRE USE PERMIT PROCEDURES FOR
RESIDENTIAL USE WITH C-31 COMMERCIAL USE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Prior to the incorporation of the City of Poway, it was
of great concern to the citizens of the Poway area that residential devel-
opment within the C-31 commercial zone was taking place without sufficient
control over the impact upon public services and without suffieient notice
and public hearing to the community and adjacent property owners. The City
Council finds that requiring the Use Permit procedure will prevent those
abuses.
Section 2. Sections 2310, et seq. of the San Diego County Zoning
Ordinances are amended to read as follows:
(a) Section 2312a will be placed within Section 2315 and amended
to read 2315d.
(b) Section 2312b and c will be amended to read a and b,
respectively.
Section 3. Section 2990 of the San Diego County Zoning Ordinances
will be amended by placing "M" under "Family Residential" (1260) and "Group
Residential" (1265) in lieu of the black dot designation in column "C-31".
Introduced and first read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Poway held the 3rd day of February, 1981, and thereafter PASSED
AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of said City Council held the 24th day of February,
1981, by the following vote:
