AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
AMENDING TITLE 2, CHAPTER 2.18 OF THE
POgU~Y MUNICIPAL fi)DE BY THE AMENDS~ENT OF
SECTION 2.18.040, TIME AND PLACE OF ~ETINGS
AND SECTION 2.18.170(A)(3)(a), ORAL C0~MUNICATIONS
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY DOES ORDAIN AS FO~:
SECTION 1: Title 2, Chapter 2.18 of the Poway Municipal Code is hereby amended
by the amendment of Section 2.18.040 to read as follows:
2.18.040 Time and place of ~ctinqs.
The City Council shall hold regular meetings in the Council Chambers of the
City Hall, 13325 Civic Center Drive, in the City or at such other place as
may be determined by the Council, on each Tuesday of each month, at seven
p.m. Men the day for each regulmr m~cting of the Council falls on a
holiday as defined in California Government Code Section 6700, no n~cting
shall be held on such holiday, but a regulmr meeting shall be held at 7:00
p.m. on the next succeeding business day ther~fter as required by
C~1 ifornia Government Code Section 54954, or at such time and place as my
be previously established by the Council.
SECTION 2: Title 2, Chapter 2.18 of the Poway Municipal Code is hereby amended
by the amendment of Section 2.18.170(A)(3)(a) to read as follows:
2.18.170 Addressing the Council.
Any person may address the Council by oral co~mlunications
with regard to any city-related matter with which such person
is concerned and is then the sub,ct of Council discussion.
Preference shall be given to those persons who have first
notified the City in writing of their desire to speak. Ail
speakers shall give written notice to the City Clerk in a
form approved by the City Council in order that the same my
appear on the minutes of the Council n~cting.
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30)
days after the date of its passage; and before the expiration of fifteen (15)
days after its passage, it shall be published once with the names and members
voting for and against the same in the Pow~y News Chieftain, a newspaper of
general circulation published in the City of Poway.
