A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
INITIATING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT 10 -03
ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBER 321 - 110 -02
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway recognizes that the need may
arise to amend the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 65350, et seq., of the California Government Code
describes the procedures for amending General Plans; and
WHEREAS, Section 17.46.020 of the Poway Municipal Code requires that a
change in the boundaries of any zone be initiated by Resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, this Resolution initiates General Plan Amendment 10 -03 to amend
the land use designation and zoning of an approximate 0.35 -acre portion of an
80.5 -acre parcel, located east of High Valley, on Westview Road, from Open Space -
Resource Management (OS -RM) to Rural Residential A (RR -A), and to amend another
0.35 -acre portion of the same property from RR -A to OS -RM.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway
as follows:
Section 1 : Initiation of a proposed General Plan Amendment is not subject to the
requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review.
Section 2 : The City Council hereby approves the Initiation of General Plan Amendment
10 -03 to change the zoning boundary.
PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED by the City Council of the City of
Poway, State of California, this 15th day of June 2010.
