A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
REQUESTING THE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL
TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT WITHIN THE CITY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City of Poway, California is newly incorporated and the
consideration and decision on the question of the method of providing local
law enforcement will require lengthy study and negotiations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that:
Section 1. The California Highway Patrol is respectfully requested to
continue to furnish traffic enforcement within the recently incorporated
City of Poway until June 30, 1981 or until the City Council requests
termination of such services, whichever occurs first.
