A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA STATING INTENTION TO
VACATE AND ABANDON CITY HIGHWAY AND SETTING
PUBLIC HEARING DATE
WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation has requested the vacation
of the hereinafter described city highway; and
WHEREAS, Section 8320 of the Streets and Highways Code, provides that
the City Council, may, by resolution, declare its intention to vacate any
city highway; and
WHEREAS, after investigation the County Department of Planning and
Land Use has approved and recommended the proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, it appears to this Council that said hereinafter described highway
is not needed for present or prospective use as a city highway; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway that it is the
intention of this Council to vacate and abandon the following described city
highway pursuant to the procedures prescribed by Chapter 3 (commencing with
Section 8320), Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code:
Parcel No. 80-0894A
That portion of the Southerly 190.00 feet of the Northerly 250.00 feet of
Section 31, Township 13 South, Range 1 West, San Bernardino Meridian in the
County of San Diego, State of California, lying Westerly of a line that is 30.00
feet Westerly of and parallel and concentric with the centerline of Espola Road
as shown on Road Survey 335, said Road Survey being filed in the Office of the
County Engineer of said County, said centerline being described as follows:
BEGINNING at Centerline Station 216+93.65 of said Road Survey 335; thence
Northerly along said centerline the following courses; North 04°41' West, 820.86
feet to the beginning of a tangent 1000.00 foot radius curve concave Easterly;
thence Northerly along the arc of said curve, through a central angle of 12°12'
a distance of 212.93 feet; thence tangenet to said curve North 07°31 East a
distance of 108.31 feet to the beginning of a tangent 1000.00 foot radius curve
concave Westerly; thence Northerly along the arc of said curve through a central
angle of 07°33'30'' a distance of 131.92 feet to a POINT OF TERMINUS.
IT IS ORDERED that March 3, 1981, at the hour of 7 o'clock p.m.,
at Twin Peaks School, 14640 Tierra Bonita Road, is fixed as the time
and place for a hearing on th~s Resolution of Intention.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the City Clerk of this City give notice of the
hearing of this resolution and of the time and place fixed for the hearing of
this resolution and of the time and place fixed for the hearing by publication
of a notice thereof in the Poway Chieftain, a newspaper of general circulation
published in the County of San Diego, for at least two successive weeks prior to
said day fixed for said hearing, and that the Clerk also cause similar notices
to be conspicuously posted along the line of said highway proposed to be vacated
as above described.

at a regular meeting thereof this 3rd day of February, 1981.
