AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS FOR
VARIOUS STREETS WITHIN THE CITY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Pursuant to Section 22357 and 22358 of the California Vehicle
Code permitting an increase or decrease in local speed limits upon the comple-
tion and recommendation of an engineering and traffic survey, Chapter 10.32.050
and Section II, Increased Speed Limits subsection 10.32.240, are hereby added
to read:
II. INCREASED SPEED LIMITS
Section 10.32.240 Lake Poway Road. The prima facle

Section 10.32.250 Markar Road. The prima facie speed limit on Markar Road
from High Valley to Eastvale is increased to and established at thirty (30)
miles per hour.
Section 10.32.260 Sycamore Canyon Road. The prima facie speed limit on
Sycamore Canyon Road from Garden Road to south terminus is increased to and
established at thirty (30) miles per hour.
Section 10.32.270 Tierra Bonita Road. The prima facie speed limit on Tierra
Bonita Road from Twin Peaks to Belvedere is increased to and established at
forty (40) miles per hour.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30)
days after the date of its passage; and before the expiration of fifteen (15)
days after its passage, it shall be published once with the names and members
voting for and against the same in the Poway News Chieftain, a newspaper of
general circulation published in the City of Poway.
Introduced and first read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Poway held the 1st day of March, 1988, and thereafter PASSED AND ADOPTED
at a regular meeting of said City Council held the 8th day of March, 1988, by
the following roll call vote:
