RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
EXCLUDING VOLUNTEERS FROM WORKER'S
COMPENSATION INSURANCE
WHEREAS, volunteer talent and labor is available to
support various programs of the City; and
WHEREAS, the use of volunteers will increase the level
of service and reduce the costs; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of The City of Poway deems it
to be in the best interests of the City to encourage volunteers
throughout the City; and
WHEREAS, said volunteers are to receive no compensation
or cash benefits from the City of Poway and no Workman's Compensa-
tion Insurance under the State Compensation Insurance Fund will be
available to said volunteers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Poway:
1. That volunteers are recognized to be a
a valuable resource to the City of Poway; and
2. That any volunteers are to receive no
compensation or cash benefits and no Workman's
Compensation Insurance under the State Compensa-
tion Insurance Fund will be available to said
volunteers.
PASSED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway
at a meeting of said Council duly held on the 17th day of February,
1981.
