A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
APPOINTING MARJORIE K. WAHLSTEN
AS THE POWAY CITY CLERK
WHEREAS, the City of Poway, California was incorporated on December 1,
1980, as a general law City of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, one of the first actions of the City Council of the City of
Poway was to appoint Marjorie K. Wahlsten, an employee of the Poway
Municipal Water District, as Acting City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the Poway Municipal Water District dissolved on February 1,
1981, and as a result thereof Marjorie K. Wahlsten became and is an
employee of the City of Poway; and
WHEREAS, Acting City Clerk Marjorie K. Wahlsten has performed in a
very professional and competent manner, and in a short period of time has
organized the administrative affairs of this City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Poway DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows;
Section 1. Marjorie K. Wahlsten is hereby appointed the City Clerk
of the City of Poway, California.
Section 2. Compensation shall be set at an annual salary of
$25,139 and a car allowance of $100.00 per month, effective March 1, 1981.
The Council shall review and make adjustments in the annual salary herein
established each year as a part of the annual budget, such review to begin
with the fiscal year 1982-83 budget.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California at a regular meeting thereof this 10th day of March, 1981.
