A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND OTHER CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS FOR AND AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR
INVITATION FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SERVICE
AREA VI FACILITIES 1.0 MG STEEL TANNNK AND APPURTENANCES
AND SERVICE AREA VI FACILITIES PUMP STATION, RESERVOIR
SITE WORK, AND PIPELINE
WHEREAS, plans and specifications and other contract documents for
construction of Service Area VI Facilities 1.0 MG Steet Tank and Appurtenances
and Service Area VI Facilities Pump Station, Reservoir Site Work, and Pipeline
have been prepared and submitted by City's Public Services Department Water
Division Engineer; and
WHEREAS, included as part of said contract documents is a notice inviting
sealed proposals; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has obtained from the Director of the Department
of Industrial Relations a determination of the general prevailing rate of per
diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work on
April 28, 1981, in the locality in which said work is to be performed for each
craft, classification or type of worker needed and a schedule thereof is on
file in the Office of the City Clerk, 13202 Poway Road, Poway, California;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California, as follows:
1. That the plans and specifications and other contract documents for
construction of Service Area VI Facilities 1.0 MG Steel Tank and
Appurtenances and Service Area VI Facilities Pump Station, Reservoir
Site Work, and Pipeline is hereby approved;
2. That bids for construction of same shall be received up to the hour
of 2:00 P.M., on June 3, 1981, at the office of the CITY CLERK, 13202
Poway Road, P.O. Box 785, Poway, California 92064;
3. That the City Council determines that the wages and holiday and
overtime pay set forth in the Schedule of Prevailing Rates of Wages on
file in the City Clerk's Office are for the locality in which the work
is to be performed and the general prevailing rate of per diem wages
and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime pay on April
28, 1981, for each craft, classification and type of worker needed to
perform the work; and
4. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give and
publish the appropriate notice of an invitation for bids upon the work
contemplated within the foregoing plans and specifications and other
contract documents.
