AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS FOR
VARIOUS STREETS WITHIN THE CITY AND
AMENDING CHAPTER 10.32 OF THE POWAY MUNICIPAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Pursuant to Section 22357 and 22358 of the California Vehicle
Code permitting an increase or decrease in local speed limits upon the comple-
tion and recommendation of an Engineering and Traffic Survey, Chapter 10.32
Section II, Increased Speed Limits, Subsection 10.32.226 is hereby added to
read:
II. INCREASED SPEED LIMITS
Section 10.32.226 Old Coach Road. The prima facie speed limit on Old Coach
Road from Espola Road to the North Terminus is increased to and established
at thirty-five {35} miles per hour.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30)
days after the date of its passage; and before the expiration of fifteen (15)
days after its passage, it shall be published once with the names and members
voting for and against the same in the Poway News Chieftain, a newspaper of
general circulation published in the City of Poway.
Introduced and first read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Poway held the loth day of May, 1988, and thereafter PASSED AND ADOPTED
at a regular meeting of said City Council held the 24th day of May, 1988, by
the following roll call vote:
