Ord 264 ORDINANCE NO. 264
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION
OF CERTAIN PROPERTY (ZC 88-01B)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway has approved a General Plan
Amendment, GPA 88-01B, amending the land use designation for approximately 50.4
gross acres of property located in the southeast quadrant of the intersection of
Metate Lane and Montauk Street from Rural Residential C (1 du/1, 2, or 4 net
acres) to Open Space; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the zoning classification of that
property should also be changed to maintain consistency with the General Plan as
required by Section 65860 of the California Government Code; and
WHEREAS, a properly noticed public hearing was conducted in accordance with
Section 65853, et seq., of the California Government Code and the California
Environmental Quality Act to consider this zone reclassification; and
WHEREAS, the City Council
have a significant adverse

finds that proposed Zone Change 88-01B will not
impact on the environment and hereby issues a
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the City Council does hereby amend the
City of Poway Zoning Plan Map for the above described property from Rural
Residential C (RR-C) to Open Space (OS).
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty
{30) days after the date of its passage; and before the expiration of fifteen
(15) days after its passage, it shall be published once with the names and
members voting for and against the same in the Poway News Chieftain, a newspaper
of general circulation published in the City of Poway.
Introduced and first read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Poway held the 17th day of May, 1988, and thereafter PASSED AND ADOPTED
at a regular meeting of said City Council held the 31st day of May, 1988, by the
following roll call vote:
