AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
AMENDING SECTIONS 8.20.020, 8.20.030, 8.20.060
8.20.080 AND 8.24.030 OF THE POWAY MUNICIPAL CODE,
REGARDING PAYMENT OF HEALTH PERMIT FEES
WHEREAS, each year the City of Poway prepares a resolution regarding the
payment of health permit fees to conform with the County of San Diego; and
WHEREAS, each year the County of San Diego prepares an in-depth analysis of
inspection costs, prepares a proposed fee schedule, forwards it to each City and
to representatives from various industries affected, receives comments and pre-
pares a final fee schedule in ordinance form for public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the County of San Diego Health Department Services serves as the
City of Poway's Health Officer.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Sections 8.20.020, 8.20.030, 8.20.060, 8.20.080 and 8.24.030 of
the Poway Municipal Code shall be amended to read as follows:
8.20.020 Application--Fee. Every applicant for a permit, license or
registration required by Chapters 8.24 through 8.60 and Chapter 5.68 shall
at the time of making application pay the fee prescribed by the County of
San Diego.
8.20.030 Annual inspection fee for health regulated. "...shall at the
time of making application for the permit pay the annual inspection fees, as
set forth by the County of San Diego ..."
8.20.060 Delinquent payments. A. Any fee which is not paid by the
first day of the month following the month in which it is due is thirty days
delinquent, and on the first day of the next following month, if still
unpaid, is sixty days delinquent. Delinquent penalty fees shall be
established by the County of San Diego.

8.20.080 Fees. Every person applying for a permit under the provisions
of this chapter shall at the time of making an application for such permit
pay a fee the exact amount which shall be determined by the County of San
Diego and kept on record by the County Department of Health Services with a
copy on file in the City Clerk's Office.

8.24.030 Permit--Application--Fee. The permit required by this chapter
shall be applied for and issued as prescribed by the County of San Diego.
The annual fee for the permit shall be as prescribed in Chapter 8.20.
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty
(30) days after the date of its passage; and before the expiration of fifteen
(15) days after its passage, it shall be published once with the names and
members voting for and against the same in the Poway News Chieftain, a newspaper
of general circulation published in the City of Poway.
Introduced and first read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Poway held the 26th day of July, 1988, and thereafter PASSED AND ADOPTED
at a regular meeting of said City Council held the 9th day of August, 1988. by
