AN ORDINA~ICE OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION
OF CERTAIN PROPERTY (ZC 88-03S)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway has approved a General Plan
Amendment, GPA 88-03S, amending the land use designation for Assessor's parcels
as identified in Attachment 1, hereto, from Rural Residential C (1 du/1, 2, or 4
net acres) to Residential Single Family-I; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the zoning classification of the
Assessor's parcels identified in Attachment 1, hereto, should also be changed to
maintain consistency with the General Plan as required by Section 56860 of the
California Government Code; and
WHEREAS, a properly noticed public hearing was conducted in accordance with
Section 65853, et. seq., of the California Government Code and the California
Environmental Quality Act to consider Zone Change (ZC 88-03S); and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that proposed Zone Change 88-03S will not
have significant adverse impacts on the environment and hereby issues a Negative
Declaration.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the City Council does hereby amend the
City of Poway Zoning Plan Map for the Assessor's parcels identified in
Attachment 1, hereto, from Rural Residential C (RR-C zone) to Residential Single
Family-1 (RS-l).
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30)
days after the date of its passage; and before the expiration of fifteen (15)
days after its passage, it shall be published once with the names and members
voting for and against the same in the Poway News Chieftain, a newspaper of
general circulation published in the City of Poway.
Introduced and first read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Poway held the 13th day of September, 1988, and thereafter PASSED and ADOPTED
at a regular meeting of said City Council held the 27th day of Sepgember 1988 by
the following roll call vote:
