Res 109 RESOLUTION NO. 109
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
AUTHORIZING THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO
TO TRANSACT BUSINESS AND EXERCISE ITS POWERS WITHIN THE
TERRITORIAL BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY.
WHEREAS, the City of Poway does not have any established Housing
Authority empowered to transact business within the territorial boundaries
of the City; and
WHEREAS, no permission to transact business has been given to any other
Housing Authority; and
WHEREAS, it is the City's desire to have the County Housing Authority
operate within its territorial boundaries pursuant to Section 34209 of the
Health and Safety Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Poway hereby authorizes the transaction of business within its territorial
boundaries by the Housing Authority of the County of San Diego, provided
however, that if the City establishes a Housing Authority and empowers it
to transact business, the Housing Authority of the County of San Diego
shall have no power to initiate any further project within the territorial
boundaries of the City.
PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California, at a regular meeting thereof this 9th day of June, ]981.
