A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
REVISING SEWER SERVICE CHARGES AND RESCINDING
POMERADO COUNTY WATER DISTRICT ORDINANCE NO. 69
RELATING THERETO.
WHEREAS, Pomerado County Water District Ordiance No. 59 adopted July 28,
1976, provided for, among other matters, monthly sewer service charges; and
WHEREAS, Pomerado County Water District Ordinance No. 69 amended Section 10
of Volume II of Ordinance 59 and revised the sewer service charges; and
WHEREAS, the Poway City Council has adopted all former Pomerado County Water
District Ordinances and now determines that the sewer service charges should
again be revised.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE POWAY CITY COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Ordinance No. 69 of Pomerado County Water District is hereby
rescinded.
Section 2: Section 10 of Volume II of Ordinance No. 59 of Pomerado County
Water District is hereby rescinded and reference shall be made to Section 3 of
this Resolution of the City Council of Poway.

10.1 Single Family Residences $4.62/month
10.2 Multiple Dwelling per unit $4.62/month
10.3 Motel-Hotel Buildings, per unit $4.62/month
10.4 Trailer Parks & Mobile Home Sites, per unit $4.62/month
10.5 Rooming Houses, per unit $4.62/month
10.6 Schools (per each 21 average daily attendance) $4.62/month
10.7 Churches (each unit, capacity/100 equals unit) $4.62/month
10.8 Residence-Business Combinations
10.8.1 Residence Portion $4.62/month
10.8.2 Business Portion (see 10.9.2 below)
Commercial, Industrial, Professional Buildings
10.9.1 Each separate business or activity that has
sewer facilities
10.9.2 Commercial, Industrial or Professional
Businesses creating large volumes of
wastewater, per unit of 8,000 gallons
(The units of 8,000 gallons will be
based on monthly readings of water meters)

(A unit is defined as a separate space containing
sanitation facilities [toilet, urinal, floor drain, wash
basin, shower, janitorial deep sink, etc.,] with 4 or
less fixtures in number. Those spaces containing
sanitation facilities in excess of 4 will be considered
as an additional unit for each 4 fixtures or portion
thereof)
Ail service connections whose wastewater is serviced by
wastewater pump stations (including the Rancho Bernardo
pump Station) will be charged $1.36/month surcharge for
each pump station utilized.
Section 4: Except as amended by Ordinance No. 67 of Pomerado County Water
District, concerning connection fees and as specifically amended above,
Ordinance No. 59 shall remain in full force and effect.
PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California, at a regular meeting thereof this 21st day of July, 1981.
