A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
AUTHORIZING THIBODO CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION
TO POST A 25 MPH SPEED LIMIT IN THE ZONE OF
CONSTRUCTION ON POMERADO ROAD
WHEREAS, Thibodo Construction Corporation will be constructing a sewer line
in Pomerado Road starting at Poway Road and terminating in the general area of
Pomerado Hospital; and
WHEREAS, the construction will reduce the travel lanes to one north bound
and one south bound lane in the zone of construction only; and
WHEREAS, the construction will be completed by January 15, 1982; and
WHEREAS, to protect the health and safety of the general public, a temporary
speed limit reduction of 25 MPH on Pomerado Road in the zone of construction is
required, as authorized pursuant to Vehicle Code Sections 21100(d) and 22362.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway as
follows:
Section 1: Thibodo Construction Corporation is authorized to post a 25 MPH
speed limit in the "construction zone" only.
Section 2: Speed limit sign locations must be approved by the Department of
Public Services prior to placement.
Section 3: Authorization will terminate on January 15, 1982.
PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California, at a regular meeting thereof this 4th day of August, 1981.
