A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
ESTABLISHING ANNUAL GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT
HEARING DATES
WHEREAS, State Law allows Cities to establish a maximum of three
times in any calendar year for amendments to the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish a maximum of two dates
in any calendar year in which the public may apply for and receive hearing
on General Plan Amendments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council feels that the public should be allowed to
apply for General Plan Amendments; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Poway does hereby establish General Plan Amendment hearing dates and
deadlines for submittals as follows:
Section 1. For the calendar year of 1981:
A. The second regular meeting of the City Council in the month of
October shall be established as the General Plan Amendment hearing
date. The deadline for submittal shall be no later than 5:00 P.M.
on August 28, 1981.
Section 2. For the calendar year of 1982:
A. The second regular meeting of the City Council in the month of
January shall be established as the General Plan Amendment hearing
date. The deadline for submittal shall be no later than 5:00 P.M.
November 13th.
B. Dates for the second General Plan Amendment shall be established
by the City Council.
Section 3.
In the event any General Plan Amendment requires the completion of an
Environmental Impact Report prior to hearing, the General Plan
Amendment shall be scheduled at the next regularly scheduled General
Plan Amendment hearing.
