A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
NAMING THE SAN DIEGO COUNTY OFFICE OF DISASTER
PREPAREDNESS AS THE CITY'S REPRESENTATIVE TO THE
STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOR ENTRANCE INTO THE STATE
EDUCATIONAL SURPLUS PROPERTY SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the City of Poway can benefit as a recipient under the State
Educational Surplus Property System by being able to purchase, or to receive
without charge, any of a variety of goods considered surplus by the State of
California; and
WHEREAS, this System is directed through the County of San Diego Office of
Disaster Preparedness as Surplus Property Coordinator to the State of
California; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway is eligible for entrance into this System under a
Category II classification by appointing a member from the Office of Disaster
Preparedness as the City's Category I Representative.
N(~;, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway as
follows:
That Gene Smith, Office of Disaster Preparedness, Category I
Representative of the State Educational Surplus Property System,
is hereby appointed as the City's Category I Representative to the
System~ and

That the City Manager of the City of Poway is hereby authorized to
appoint certain members of the City staff as Category II
Representatives to the System.
PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California, at a regular meeting thereof this 29th day of September, 1981.
