A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
REQUESTING TRANSFER OF THE PARK LANDS DEDICATION FEES,
COLLECTED BY SAN DIEGO COUNTY
BE TRANSFERRED TO THE CITY OF POWAY PARK LANDS DEDICATION FUND
WHEREAS, Park Land Dedication Funds within the custody of San Diego
County, which are designated for use in the City of Poway, by virtue of
its incorporation on December 1, 1980, cannot be given into custody of the
City of Poway until a resolutIon requesting such funds has been adopted
by the City Council: and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Poway to
assume custody of Park Lands Dedication Funds in order that development of
Parks Lands may commence~ and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway has adopted an Interim
Parks and Recreation Element of the General Plan on December 29, 1981
establishing accountability of such funds,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Clty Council of the City of
Poway hereby requests that the Board of Supervisors transfer funds from
the San Diego County Park Land Dedication Ordinance Fund to the City of
Poway Park Lands Dedication Fund.
