A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
ADOPTING THE FORM OF THE CITY SEAL
AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 14
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway did, by Resolution No. 14
adopted December 9, 1980, adopt a form of City seal; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of using another design both as City
seal and City logo. ' -
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The City Seal of the City of Poway shall be in the form of a
die, oval in shape and two inches at its widest diameter; the form of the die
shall be two.ovals, one inside the other. Within the smaller oval shall appear
a design depicting Twin Peaks and the Espola Road Oak Tree with the words,
"Incorporated 1980." Within the larger oval and outside the limits of the inner
oval shall be imprinted the words, "City of Poway" and "City In The Country."
Section 2: The City Clerk is hereby authorized to continue using the
former City seal as an interim use until an embossing seal incorporatina the new
design can be prepared. ' ~
Section 3: Resolution No. 14 is hereby rescinded.
PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California, at a regular meeting thereof this 29th day of December, 1981.
