A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
STATING INTENTION TO VACATE AND ABANDON CITY HIGHWAY
AND SETTING PUBLIC HEARING DATE
WHEREAS, Ponderosa Homes has requested the vacation of the
hereinafter described city highway: and
that the

WHEREAS, Section 8320 of the Streets and Highways Code, provides
City Council, may, by resolution, declare its intention to vacate
highway; and
WHEREAS, after investigation the City Department of Planning
Services has approved and recommended the proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, it appears to this Council that said hereinafter
described highway is not needed for present or prospective use as a city
highway; NOW THEREFORE.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Poway that it
is the intention of this Council to vacate and abandon the following
described city highway pursuant to the procedures prescribed by Chapter 3
(commending with Section 8320), Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and
Highways Code:
Those portions of The Ranch, Unit 1, according to map thereof No. 7892,
filed in the Office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, March 5,
1974, described as follows:
The Open Space Easements in Lots 1 through 19 excepting therefrom
the easterly 30.00 feet of Lot 19, the Open Space Easements in
Lots 22 through 25 excepting therefrom the easterly 30.00 feet of
Lot 22, the Open Space Easement in Lot 40 excepting therefrom the
southerly 15.00 feet, and the Open Space Easements in Lots 42
through 49.
IT IS ORDERED that March 9, 1982, at the hour of 7 o'clock p.m.,
at City Hall Council Chambers, 13325 Civic Center Dr., is fixed as the
time and place for a hearing on this Resolution of Intention.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED THAT THE City Clerk of this City give
notice of the hearing of this resolution and of the time and place fixed
for the hearing of this resolution and of the time and place fixed for
the hearing by publication of a notice thereof in the Poway Chieftain,

a newspaper of general circulation published in the County of San Diego,
for at least two successive weeks prior to said day fixed for said
hearing, and that the Clerk also cause similar notices to be conspicuously
posted along the line of said highway proposed to be vacated as above
described.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway,
California at a regular meeting thereof this 16th day of February, 1982.
