A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY,
CALIFORNIA ESTABLISHING THE SPECIFIC ALIGNMENT
OF CAMINO DEL NORTE ROAD FROM COMMUNITY
ROAD TO TWIN PEAKS ROAD
WHEREAS, Camino Del Norte Road and Community Road are streets shown on
the Circulation Element of the City of Poway; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway anticipates the construction
of Camino Del Norte from Community Road to Twin Peaks Road; and,
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the City Council the construction of said street
is in the best interest and of general benefit to the City of Poway and is con-
sistent with the City of Poway's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, a specific alignment plan for Camino Del Norte is necessary to
reserve the right of way for a road easement within the limits of the proposed
roadway; and
WHEREAS, the provisions of the Government Code of the State of California,
Section 65450 provides the authority for the adoption of a specific alignment
plan for Camino Del Norte upon a majority vote of the City Council of the
City of Poway; and
WHEREAS, this City Council considered the opinions expressed by residents
and property owners regarding the specific alignment of the City highway at a
duly noticed public hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this City Council finds that the herein-
after described City highway is consistent with the City of Poway's General
Plan; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the construction of the City highway is in the
best interest and of general benefit to the City of Poway; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Poway hereby
adopts the specific alignment for Camino Del Norte Road as shown on the attached
as Exhibit A.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, California at
a regular meetiDg thereof this 27th day of April, 1982.
