A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO
ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
DEPARTMENT OF WATER RESOURCES FOR A LOAN/GRANT
TO CONSTRUCT AND DESIGN A COVER FOR THE CITY's
CLEARWELL
WHEREAS, the City of Poway intends to construct a cover over the City's
clearwell to protect the public health of citizens of the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Poway intends to obtain assistance from the State of
California, Department of Water Resources, pursuant to the Safe Drinking Water
Bond Law of 1976, to finance the design and construction of said clearwell
cover.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Poway resolves as follows:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to submit an
application to the State of California, Department
of Water Resources and enter into an agreement for
a loan in an amount not to exceed $1,500,000 and a
grant of $400,000, to finance the design and con-
struction of the City's clearwell cover.
The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Poway are
hereby authorized to execute such application and
other documents as may be necessary, to consumate
said loan/grant.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, State
of California this 1st day of June, 1982.
