Res 262 RESOLUTION NO. 262 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA ESTABLISHING CITY COUNCIL POLICY FOR THE REGULATION OF ON-SITE SUBDIVISION IDENTIFICATION SIGNING WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to establish a consistent, fair and equitable subdivision identification sign program; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to have all on-site billboard subdivision directional signing consistent within the City of Poway. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Poway, California, does hereby establish the following policy to regulate on-site subdivision identification signing: Section 1: On-Site Subdivision Identification Signs: One temporary on-site subdivision sign not to exceed 64 square feet total for two sides or 32 square feet for one side and a total overall height of 12 feet may be permitted on each circulation element street frontage of the property being subdivided not to exceed two such signs for all phases of any subdivision; otherwise a maximum of one (1) sign is permitted. Such sign shall be for the identification of a subdivision, price information and the developers name, address, and telephone number. Such signs shall be removed within 10 days from the date of the final sale of the land and/or residences or within 24 months, whichever comes first. Extensions of 12 months may be approved by the Director of Planning Services. d. Signs shall be maintained in good repair at all times. ee A cash deposit of $300 shall accompany the sign application to ensure compliance with the Ordinance and removal of such sign. Said deposit shall be refunded to the applicant upon sign removal by the applicant. If the City is forced to remove any signs, then the cost of removal shall be deducted from deposit. Resolution No. 262 fha-Site Signing Page 2 Section 2: Force and Effect: This resolution shall be used as the maximum allowable on-site signing for subdivisions limiting the discretion of Section 6268(f).
