A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POWAY,
CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE SUMMARY VACATION OF STONE
CANYON ROAD, NORTHERLY OF ARROYO VISTA ROAD, (VAC 82-03)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Poway desires to summarily vacate
a portion of a public street easement, commonly known as Stone Canyon Road, in
accordance with the procedures provided for in Chapter 4, Part 3, Division 9 of
the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and
WHEREAS, no significant environmental effects of a summary vacation of said
street were determined,
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Poway as
follows:

This summary vacation is made under the provisions of Chapter
4, Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California.

City Council finds that the portion of Stone Canyon Road,
described below, has not been open to vehicular traffic
for a period of five (5) years, and that no public funds
have been expended for its maintenance or upkeep during
that period.
The City Council finds that said street easement is excess
right-of-way and is not needed for any present or prospective
public use.
A Negative Declaration of Environmental Impact is hereby issued.
The City Council hereby declares that the following described
portion of Stone Canyon Road is summarily vacated, subject to
the reservation of an easement for sewer, water, and public
utility purposes as hereinafter described.
Certain parcels of land in the City of Poway, County of
San Diego, State of California, being all of Stone Canyon
Road (84.00 feet wide) as shown on a map of Green Valley
Highlands Unit No. 1), recorded as Map No. 6228, Records
of said County and State and on a map of Green Valley
Highlands Unit No. 2 recorded as Map No. 6596, Records of
said County and State.

Reserving therefrom a permanent easement for sewer, water
and public utility purposes and the right at any time, or
from time to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace,
remove, and renew any appurtenant structures in, upon, over,
under, and across those portions of said Stone Canyon Road
described as follows:
PARCEL NO. 1
A strip of land 20.00 feet wide lying 10.00 feet on either
side of and adjacent to the following described centerline:
BEGINNING at an angle point in the existing boundary of said
Green Valley Highlands Unit No. 2, said point being on the
existing centerline of Stone Canyon Road at said roads North-
westerly terminus, said point also being the beginning of a
tangent curve concave to the Southwest and having a radius
of 1118.00 feet; thence Southeasterly along the centerline
of Stone Canyon Road, along said curve, through a central
angle of 37011'00'' an arc length of 725.88; thence South
14005'00'' East 60.61 feet to a point of terminus, said point
being on the Southeasterly limit line of Stone Canyon Road
as shown of said Green Valley Highlands Unit No. 2.
The side lines of the above described strip to be lengthened
or shortened to terminate Southeasterly at said Southeasterly
limit of Stone Canyon Road.
PARCEL NO. 2
Commencing at an angle point in the existing boundary of said
Green Valley Highlands Unit No. t, said point being on the
existing centerline of Stone Canyon Road at said roads North-
westerly terminus; thence North 38043'00'' East 10.00 feet along
said boundary of said Unit No. 1 to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING:
thence continuing along said boundary North 38043'00'' East
32.00 feet to a point in the existing right-of-way of said
Stone Canyon Road, said point also being the beginning of a
non-tangent curve concave to the Southwest and having a radius
of 1160.00 feet, a radial line through said point bears North
39043'00'' East; thence Southeasterly along said curve through
a central angle of 0045'43'' an arc length of 15.43 feet to the
beginning of a non-tangent line South 39028'43'' West 32.00 feet
to the beginning of a non-tangent curve concave to the Southwest
and having a radius of 1128.00 feet, a radial line through which
bears North 39°28'43" East, thence Northwesterly along said
curve through a central angle of 0045'43'' an arc length of
15.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.

The City Clerk of the City of Poway is hereby directed to
cause a certified copy of this Resolution to be recorded
in the Office of the Recorder of the County of San Diego
in accordance with the provision of the State of California
Streets and Highways Code, Sec. 8336 (a).
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, California,
at a regular meeting thereof this 10th day of August , 1982.
