A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA
AUTHORIZING THE FILING AND EXECUTION OF
AN APPLICATION TO ACQUIRE AND DEVELOP 1,895 ACRES OF LAND
FROM THE BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to acquire and develop 1,895 acres
of Federal land within and bordering the boundaries of the City of Poway;
WHEREAS, said land shall be used for recreational purposes and
watershed protection with no person to be denied the right to use or benefit
from the land because of race, creed, sex or national origin; and
WHEREAS, the filing and execution of the application through the
Bureau of Land Management must be authorized by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Poway, hereby requests the Bureau of Land Management to consider and approve the
City of Poway's application to acquire said land.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Poway, State
of California, this 24th day of August, 1982.
